Potamodromous. Migrating within streams, migratory in rivers, e.g. Saliminus, Moxostoma, Labeo. Migrations should be cyclical and predictable and cover more than 100 km.

Biology:
Occurs in shallow coastal waters over sand. Feeds on a wide range of prey, including the larvae of Chaoborus (Ref. 9606). Oviparous (Ref. 205). Migrates up the river to spawn (Ref. 10608).
