Ivindomyrus opdenboschi:
Ivindomyrus opdenboschi is a species of elephantfish in the family Mormyridae and the only member of its genus. It is only found in the Ivindo River in Gabon.[1] It reaches a length of about 27 cm.[1]

Range Description:
A Lower Guinea endemic from the Ivindo River of Gabon and the Ntem River of North east Gabon and South Cameroon. It is absent from the Ogowe River.

The southern locations on the Ivindo drainage are being threatened by iron mining. The species is known from fewer than 10 locations. The AOO is estimated less than 2,000 km².

Major Threats
The lower Ntem population is threatened by a planned deep river port and iron mine with the associated infrastructure. On the lower Ivindo, the species is threatened by iron mining.
