Stomatorhinus polylepis

Although rare in collections, appears to be widespread from Lower Congo to Middle Congo Basin, also Uélé-Ubangi system. Records from the Niari-Kouilou system of Congo-Brazzaville are likely of a separate, undescribed species (Hopkins et al., 2007). See Fishbase for museum records and localities.
