Behaviour:
The EOD waveform of C. psittacus is short in duration and characterized by four phases: a head-negative P0, followed by a positive phase and a negative phase that together take up about 1/10 of a millesecond, follwed by an "overshoot" fourth phase nearly equal in amplitude to the P0. Total duration is less than 3/10 of a millisecond.

Distribution:
Type locality is Congo River at Stanley (Boyoma) Falls (Kisangani, D.R. Congo), but records in FishBase indicate a wide distribution in the major waterways of hte Congo Basin, from Lower to Upper Congo.
