EOD very long duration compared to other species (often exceeding 8 ms). The waveform is biphasic, the first phase being head-positive. There is often an inflection point in the first, head-positive phase, which may be large enough to create two distinct peaks. The origin of this inflection/peak is unknown. In some specimens, this early peak is larger than the second. The mean duration is 8.8 ms ± 3.6 stdev (n = 16), the peak of the power spectrum is 198 Hz ± 43.55 (stdev).
