Range Description:
Mormyrus ovis is known from Pool Malebo (Stanley Pool) and from the Central and This species is known from upper Congo River basin until Kasongo. It has also been recorded from the Kinsuka rapids (Tsabuka), just below Pool Malebo (Stanley Pool). It is not known from the central and southern regions of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
