Range Description:

Pollimyrus tumifrons is known from Pool Malebo (Stanley Pool) and from the central and upper Congo River basin. It is not known from the Sangha and the Mweru-Luapula-Bangweulu systems.

Africa: known from few, widely dispersed localities in the middle and upper Congo River basin in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Angola: Kasai, Ubangi, Uélé, Aruwimi, Lualaba and upper Lualaba (Ref. 2970).
